CLE: The Case of the Disappearing Lake

The Great Salt Lake faces significant environmental challenges, raising important questions about water, law, public policy, and the future of our state. What role can the legal community play in understanding and addressing these challenges?

Join SLCBA for an engaging panel discussion exploring the Great Salt Lake through legal, environmental, and filmmaking perspectives. Our expert panel will discuss the issues surrounding the lake, the challenges facing its future, and the importance of awareness and advocacy. Following the discussion, attendees will enjoy a screening of The Lake, offering an opportunity to explore this important Utah issue through film.

Presenters

  1. Fletcher Keyes, Director of The Lake

  2. Timothy Hawkes, Attorney, Great Salt Lake Brine Shrimp Cooperative

  3. Chandler Rosenberg, Friends of Great Salt Lake

We hope you'll join us for an informative discussion, a compelling film, and an opportunity to connect with fellow SLCBA members addressing one of the most pressing challenges facing Utah's future.
